What's in this medicine?

Each chewable BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLET contains calcium carbonate 522 mg, light magnesium carbonate 68 mg and sodium bicarbonate 64 mg.
In addition, BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS contain saccharin, maize starch, sugar, calcium stearate and peppermint oil flavouring.

BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS
are available in 20, 30 and 100 tablet packs.

BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS - a unique triple action formula containing three active ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate and light magnesium carbonate, which belong to a group of medicines called antacids and work by neutralising excess stomach acid. BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS treat the pain and discomfort of acid indigestion, heartburn and trapped wind.

What does the medicine do?

BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS provide relief from the symptoms of acid indigestion, heartburn and trapped wind by neutralising excess acid in the stomach.

Before you take this medicine

Do not take BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS if:

  • you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed above,
  • you have been told the level of phosphate in your blood is low (hypophosphataemia),
  • you have heart or kidney problems.

If you are pregnant talk to your doctor before using this medicine.

SPEAK TO YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST BEFORE TAKING BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS IF YOU ARE TAKING TETRACYCLINE ANTIBIOTICS OR IRON TABLETS.

How to take your medicine

Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: suck or chew one or two tablets, as required.

Children under 12 years: not recommended.

If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Overdose

If you take too many BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS, it is unlikely that they will cause you any harm. However, you may experience constipation, diarrhoea or feel bloated. Consult your doctor if these symptoms do not go away.

Side effects

Some patients may experience side effects such as constipation or diarrhoea when taking BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS. If an unwanted side effect is severe or lasts for more than a few days, you should tell your doctor.
If you take BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS over a long period of time you may suffer a temporary worsening of symptoms when you stop taking the product. This symptom is called rebound hyperacidity. Consult your doctor if this symptom does not go away.

 

Storing your medicine

Do not store BISODOL INDIGESTION RELIEF TABLETS above 25°C.

Do not use after the expiry date on the pack.
