What is
in the tube ?
This tube
contains 35g of a medicine called
Difflam-P Cream. It
contains an ingredient called benzydamine hydrochloride,
one of a group of anti-inflammatory painkillers which
work effectively to stop both pain and swelling. The
cream contains 3% w/w benzydamine hydrochloride. It also
contains the following inactive ingredients: cutina MD,
cetyl alcohol, cetiol V, eumulgin B1, propylene glycol,
perfume crematest, methyl hydroxybenzoate, propyl
hydroxybenzoate and water.
What is
Difflam-P Cream for ?
This cream
can be used to treat most common aches and pains,
including sprains, strains, bruises, sore muscles and
stiff joints. When rubbed into the skin at an affected
site it will help to reduce pain, swelling and
stiffness.
Points
to check before using Difflam-P
Cream
- If
you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or are
trying for a baby, you should tell your pharmacist,
or doctor, before using this cream.
- Do
not use
Difflam-P Cream if you know you are
allergic to benzydamine or any of the other
ingredients.
- Do
not apply
Difflam-P Cream near the eyes, mouth,
nose or around the genitals or anus.
How to
use Difflam-P Cream

Squeeze between a half- and a full-finger length (35
- 85mm) of cream from the tube (the larger the area
to be treated, the more cream you will need). Rub
this gently into the affected area until it seems to
disappear.

Apply the cream three times each day, for no more
than 10 days your doctor may tell you to you use it
more often).

Always wash your hands after rubbing in the cream
(unless your hands are being treated).

you are not sure how often to apply the cream or how
much to use each time, ask your pharmacist for help.
What
to do in case of accidental wrong use
If you
swallow some
Difflam-P Cream
by mistake, you should contact your pharmacist,
doctor or nearest hospital casualty department
immediately.
What
might happen when using Difflam-P
Cream ?
Like all
medicines, this cream may cause some side-effects. These
may include rashes, redness and itching of the skin.
Sometimes the skin may become more sensitive to sunlight
after using
Difflam-P Cream; this means the skin may
get red and painful after only a few minutes in the sun.
These side-effects should disappear if you stop using
the cream. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you notice
this, or any other side-effects, or if any side-effects
continue for more than a few days.
How to
store Difflam-P Cream
You should
keep this medicine between 5°C and 30°C.
Do not freeze it.
Do not use the cream after the expiry date printed on
the tube.
Keep out of the reach of children.
