1. WHAT DuoTrav DOES

DuoTrav eye drops are used to treat high pressure in the eye. This pressure can lead to an illness called glaucoma.

High pressure in the eye. Your eyeballs contain a clear, watery liquid which feeds the inside of the eye. Liquid is always emptying out of the eye, and more liquid is always being produced. If the eye fills up faster than it empties, the pressure inside the eye builds up. If it gets too high, it can damage your sight.

DuoTrav is a combination of treatments for glaucoma. Travoprost is a prostaglandin analogue which works by increasing the outflow of liquid, which lowers the pressure in the eye. Timolol is a beta blocker which works by reducing the production of fluid within the eye. The two ingredients work together to reduce pressure within the eye.

2. BEFORE YOU USE DuoTrav

Do not use DuoTrav

  • if you are allergic to travoprost, prostaglandins, timolol, beta-blockers or any of the other ingredients.
  • if you have respiratory problems such as asthma, bronchitis or other types of breathing problems
