The name of
this medicine is ELUDRIL SPRAY
What is
in this medicine?
The active
ingredients of ELUDRIL SPRAY are:

Chlorhexidine digluconate....................................0.05
% w/v
-
Amethocaine
hydrochloride..................................0.015%w/v
It also
contains ethyl alcohol 7.8%v/v, polyethylene glycol,
saccharin sodium, aromatic compound, phosphoric acid,
purified water.
ELUDRIL
SPRAY is an oromucosal spray supplied in bottles of 55ml
of solution.
ELUDRIL
SPRAY is an antibacterial and anaesthetic spray for
infections of the mouth and throat.
What is
this medicine for?
ELUDRIL
SPRAY is an antibacterial and anaesthetic solution which
is an adjuvant treatment of the mouth and throat in
cases such as gum or buccal mucous membrane
inflammation, common mouth ulcers, tonsillitis,
pharyngitis and minor infections of the mouth or throat.
It can also
be used as an adjuvant treatment in Vincent's angina, in
oral fungus disease, after operative or dental
procedures in the mouth or throat and for general oral
hygiene.
Before
taking this medicine
-
ELUDRIL SPRAY should not be used in persons known to
be sensitive to either chlorhexidine digluconate or
amethocaine hydrochloride.

ELUDRIL Spray is not compatible with some agents
which are usually present in conventional
toothpastes, therefore this medicine should not be
used just before or after brushing your teeth.
- This
medicine is not suitable for use in children under
12 years of age.
- For
oral use only - Keep out of the eyes - Do not
swallow.

ELUDRIL SPRAY contains alcohol.
Taking
this medicine
ELUDRIL
SPRAY should be used 3 or 4 times a day but not
immediately before meals.
Direction for use:
Remove
plastic cover from the valve at the top of the
bottle and assemble spray by fitting the cap end of
the nozzle over the valve. The spray is activated by
pressing on the cap.
Always
shake the bottle vigorously before use, then insert
the end of the nozzle just inside the mouth. Direct
the spray towards the painful area of the mouth or
throat and squeeze gently for two or three seconds.
Duration of the treatment:
The
usual duration of treatment should not exceed 10
days. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor or
dentist.
Whilst
taking this medicine
No
undesirable effects have been reported to date with this
product but if you feel unwell on taking it, contact
your doctor, dentist or pharmacist.
Do not take
this medicine after the expiry date which you will find
on the box.
Keep your
medicine away from light, at a temperature not exceeding
25°C.
The
container of this product being pressurised, do not burn
or expose it to heat, even when empty.
